Hey guys, I recently ordered a Samsung 22" screen and it was supposed to arrive on Tuesday. I figured it wouldn't but I had wednesday free as well so I thought I'd get it one of those two days.

Now I checked my parcel force 48 tracking number and I got the following details:

Does anyone know what exactly the "Delivery not attempted" means? Were they just too lazy to try delivering it to me on wednesday? I am working now until sunday and obviously they won't be working until after christmas. I'm quite peeved as that means I'll have to wait until after christmas before I can get my shiny new present for myself. I assume at that point I can give them a call and organise a time for them to come out with it but I can't even find their number for Ireland nevermind Galway or where their postal centre is in Galway. Do they just pass their postal service over to Irish post?

If they do I'll have to contact them and I'm sure all sorts of crap will get in the way of that.

Basically I need to know if "Delivery not attempted" means they came to the door and got no answer (which isn't true for wednesday but might be true for today) and what does the status "held" mean? Any help or words of encouragement greatly welcomed :)

It means it came in to the depot but didn't go out for delivery - usually capacity problems at this time of year, sometimes because they couldn't find it when they were loading the vans.

"Held" means it's sat there in the depot. It's not confiscated or anything :)

Okay thanks guys. I'll try figuring out their number. Their website is all based on english depots not irish. I've gotta figure out who handles it in Ireland if it's a different company.

having a similar problem with city link. Trying to track my order from ocuk which I did at 12 noon today and it still doesnt appear on citylinks website lol. Supposedly getting delivered 2moro as well -.-

I dont have any to hand but I could have sworn that the last item I traced showed when it reached the delivery depot...?
Also, it has been booked in as having got to Eire three times?
Seems to be stuck in the system to me (ie an operator somewhere has booked it in and not binned it to go on to its next destination, so it got booked in again ... and repeat, it happens quite often when we send things to Shannon)

I'll try to get in contact with them. Unless they are here before 9.45 tomorrow I don't have a hope of seeing it before christmas. I'll just have to organise a time for them to deliver after. I'm not sure if it stays with parcel force in Ireland. I should know as I've ordered off OCUK a lot.
