DPD do not have the infrastructure to take all the freight in the UK. They are also not set up for handling non machinable freight.

I didn't say they have to expand in the time it takes to get a package from OcUK

Lol they dont sit for 7 days in a sorting office, they go into customs who are usually backlogged, as soon as it clears customs it is handed to parcelforce. The handling charge covers having an entire operation at customs to process thousands of parcels + to pay the customs the fee for your parcel, then wait for you to pay parcelforce.

But if they changed their operating model, their service levels would have to change. You can't have it all.

Yeah that's the problem with domestic post. The one run by RM and Parcelforce handle ****loads of mail from dozens of postage companies from all over the world.

If you import via UPS or FedEx they will have their own customs service who will be aware of an impending arrival and will be ready to process the pallets the moment they land.

Does it tell you the planned delivery date? Trying to find that out for one of my parcels.

It's been shipped using Parcelforce 48 and I received the dispatch email today, so as of now I'm not sure if it'll come on Monday or Tuesday?

Hmm thanks. I think I'll get Tuesday off then, makes sense as well if it does somehow manage to turn up on Monday then I can just get it redelivered on Tuesday.

It should be within 48 hours...working days only though. the tracking should tell you where it is, it doesn't tell you estimated eta.
