Been with BT for a number of years and found their Parental Controls quite good (so selecting categories of websites to block like adult, gambling, etc). Found they worked quite well.

I thought that all ISP's had to provide this type of control by default so was quite surprised that my current ISP doesn't.

I know that controls could be easily bypassed if individual connected to another network (and no control software in place on the device) or they simply used a VPN but I'm keen to have something in place.

What would people recommend as a good solution? I have a Raspberry Pi that I acquired sometime ago as I fancied mucking around with it but then proceeded to keep it in my drawer. Is there a Raspberry Pi solution available?

could look at Adguard as a setup, might take abit of tweaking but does have some in built blocks as default that are easy to turn on / off

CloudFlare rarely block anything in comparison to others because they are protecting the interest of its customers not users. (Nameservers, WAP, etc…)

??

Cloudflare sell Gateway as a commercial product to handle content filtering to corporate customers, the 1.1.1.1 for families service uses the same database.
