Hi All,

One of our customers has given us their family Pc - running xp home. They need control software for the children I assume under 10 for the internet and to limit msn etc.

Had a look about on the net and its difficult to tell them apart.

What I'm looking for is the best one and also one that runs a trial for a week, we did have cyberpatrol but it caused problems with the Av and had to come off, any recommendations would be great.

I tried quite a few, but found some that didn't work well with Nod32 and some that were really slow. Didn't like Netnanny as it really slowed the internet.

I finally went for CyberSitter, they do a free trial and it works fairly well. Each one has its own pros and cons but I found this to be the best. It also allows you to secure out things like control panel, internet options etc.

Down side of CyberSitter is that if it blocks a page/site, you don't always get a message - sometimes it 'Page cannot be displayed', sometimes the page is just blank and sometime nothing happens - but this is outweighed by the benefits over other.

Have a read through the reviews from 'TopTenReview' site;

Hope this helps.

Hi All,

Thats great I have a bit of time and see if I can trial both CyberSitter and Netnanny, looking at that sheet ContentProtect looks worth a test.

Again thank you for the heads up.
