Parental lock software

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right forum - mods please move if not!!

I'm after some parental lock software - does anyone have any recommendations? Just want to make sure my 9-year old doesn't start clicking on any dodgy links!!

If its windows use the Family Safety software provided by Microsoft - it's free and simple and does the job.

Erm, just use OpenDNS and put that into your router simples.

OpenDNS with a combination of another free product mentioned for piece of mind would probably work well enough.

Consider Adblocking too as they are another source of potential nastiness.

Problem with that is that it is the work of a few minutes to bypass it.

just block any other DNS traffic on the router, sorted.

Really, most nine year old kids know about DNS these days?

As has been suggested just lock the router down and maybe put it on a tall shelf?

Not exactly rocket science is it?

The best way is to use a proxy free from

You can block sites etc and use keywords plus log everything they do
