Got bored so I decided to put a 120mm fan in the side of my parent's PC.

Took me around an hour to do 'cos the case is steel. Lots of sparks and wearing no protection

Here it is...

My tools of choice (drill is not in picture)

A must for keeping overclocked 8800s and motherboard chipsets cool!

Did you file down the jagged edge at the end or just leave it?

Just left it. The PC doesnt deserve to have smooth edges. ;)

Please for the love of god wear protection! especially eye protection. Its soo easy for a dremel cutting disk to shatter and cause severe eye damage.

:D E-Machine with air circulation
did you give the case a vacuum out before connecting the fan? or is the dust still in there blowing around?

Don't stop there, carve your name into it :p

Tryed to do that with a mates PC but he stopped me and made me scratch his name in it.

LOL! Good work though for an hour. Did you just cut it with the dremel then?

Yeah. Used a drill to do the holes for the rubber things to hold the fan.

I coudnt find my dads safety glasses, but non of them shattered. The last time I did this some did shatter but I was wearing safety glasses then.
