Paris Olympics 2024

Brilliant from KJT.
So pleased for her. Gutsy athlete and but for a freak competitor in Thiam she works have had gold. I hope she's very pleased with that.
Running 2.02 for 800m as a multi event athlete is so so impressive.

Jonathan Edwards probably doesn't get the respect he deserves for his triple jump WR, almost 30 years later (Jeez and I remember watching him as a kid do it!) and no one can touch it.
In fairness, the winning jump in the Euros was 18.18 - only 11cm behind. It could happen at some point.

I don't think many people knew who Toby Roberts was. I certainly didn't. We do now. :D
Us climbers nerds do! , It's a bit off the BBC calling it a 'shock' gold, he's been winning world cup comps the last year and one of the favourites coming into the Olympics.

Immense effort to beat Soratu, he just fluffed the sequence on the campus traverse section and gassed out at the top. Toby fully deserves the gold, spent half life training for it!

Hope this doesn't mean my climbing gym is going to get even more rammed :P Great to see the sport on the front pages
