I was driving home yesterday and the speed limited when from 60mph down to 30mph I was slowing down coming in to the village probably still sitting above 36/37mph when I seen a police car parked up on the right, can they do you for speeding?

Not the reply I was hoping for ahah, I’m hoping they was just on their break or something, it wasn’t facing traffic or anything just on a little side road parked but I best just take the dry bumming
No they didn’t pull me over, but was a clear road just me and another car behind me, I’m thinking more if he’s sat in car with a hand held or something like that, trying to catch people with it going from national speed limit to 30mph sneaky like that most of them
Unfortunately a lot of people out there who can not life....
And think we can guess what the police car was there for....
Possibly some kind of troll, as they signed up to a computer forum to see if they are getting a speeding ticket

why do people on here keep posting this nonsense. ocuk has a very wide ranging number of sub forums and quite often tops google searches for lots of non computer related questions. has it passed you by that that you're posting the motors sub forum now, nothing to do with computers or the like??

Just came to ask for advice not long been driving under a year and was just curious, I wasn’t exactly speeding like I say I was slowing in to the village seen the police car while still slowing but over the limit, just new to it and wasn’t sure if random police cars give tickets, but I mean thanks for the welcome I know where to not ask for advice, not a troll but I’ll go enjoy other threads now.

You’ll just have to wait. I’m hopefully in the clear, just another couple of days to go. Pretty sure I was under and spotted the camera from a mile off.
My favourite recent police car moment was the one monitoring speeding from an M25 bridge. What they didn’t expect was me breaking all speed limits while crossing the bridge. Their faces as they turned around were priceless.
