Anyone dealt with these absolute tools? Back in July 25th i came out of work to a flat battery and was unable to leave the car park till AA attended and got the car going.
Now this is a Staff Car park operated by these muppets and unfortunately i have a off peak pass that allows me to park between 1400- 0830.
Finished my shift as normal, flat battery so rung the AA at 0745 and they attended at 0845 and i left at 0905.
Ive sent a copy of my breakdown report showing times attended and when i left but this still isnt good enough for them and have rejected my Appeal. Without physically pushing my car off the car park what exactly did they expect me to do.
Really reluctant to pay a £70 fine.

Private parking companies are a pain in the butt. I have previously just ignored them until they give up, This was a while back may not work for you or may make matters worse.

There are a few sites with advice on this sorta thing but it depends if you can be bothered with the agro for £70

I recently overstayed in a Lidl car park as had lunch meeting in a Costa before shopping in Lidl. Picked up a parking eye charge. Sent them receipts from both Costa and Lidl and they waived the charge, so they can be reasonable.

As i've said in other threads:

I got a private parking fine when parked in my own apartment car park (I think it was parking eye). I ignored it until I got a letter saying they were intending to take me to small claims court.

I spent the best part of 18 months researching previous cases, writing defence letters, probably a good 40-50 hours of work in total as it went through the various steps of the SCC process.

The day before the date of the trial/hearing (?) I got a letter saying that Parking Eye wish to take it no further.

I wish i'd just paid the £35 and got on with my life tbh!

If you do decide to fight it, head over the MSE forums and there's a whole forum dedicated to it I think.

If you had a valid response you could have just attached those notes to the small claims response form. That's what I did. The court immediately cancelled the case and returned my documents.

Hopefully your employer will just get the ticket cancelled. If not, you can appeal to POPLA and then if that fails wait for them to take you to court.

I had my POPLA appeal fail against Parking Eye and am currently waiting for them to take me to court based on their threats. I've been waiting 3 years so far. 3 more and I'm in the clear :p
