Parking for Old Trafford

I'm off to Old Trafford on the opening day of the season and I'm after some advice on where would be best to park.

Coming from the south if that changes anything. Had brief look last night on the web and some people seem to recommending park in the multi storey at media city. Would this be a decent option?

Ideal no more than 15min walk from the ground as my elderly grandfather will be with me.

Check out Textilose Rd, off Westinghouse Rd, Trafford Park. A few supporters park on there, it isnt secure, but it's free and about 15-20 mins walk to the ground...

Should be a good game, I'm attending :).

Usually walk quite a distance longer than 15 minutes, however sometimes park at the ground in the car park :). Cricket ground isn't too far.
 
I park 10 seconds walk from the stadium.

Unfortunately for everyone else it's private property and the guy only lets 4 or 5 people park on it.
 
Google Eccles Park and Ride. Free Parking, 15 minute tram ride which will cost around £3.00

Alternatively, Park at the Lowry Outlet Mall across from Old Trafford. Free parking, 10 minute walk to OT
