Parking Sensor Problem

Good morning,

The parking sensors on my MrkV Golf GTI have suddenly stopped working: there is no beeping or noise from the system.

I read somewhere to check each sensor for a clicking when in reverse and there is a clicking from each sensor.

Anyone have any ideas or further steps to self-diagnose?

Mine on my S80 work intermittently, if I use my pressure washer or it rains they stop working, the loom that passes through the boot to the bumper breaks down and water gets in, when it's dry like today they work?
 
The car has been dry due to the hot weather so I don't think it could be that unless the connections are somehow waterlogged?
 
Admittedly my car isn't a Golf, however I had this problem on my car and all it needed was the cars computer to be reset by the dealer and voila!, back to normal.

Not sure whether this would be the same on yours.
