Hello,

So I was looking for some Parmesan cheese today and Lidl didn't seem to have any. So I went up the road to Tesco and got 200g for £3.50 which seemed like a little much. I'm sure Sainsburys would have more variety in their cheeses but the nearest one to me is a little far for just a wedge of cheese.

Where do you buy your Parmesan? :)

I buy my parmesan in Aldi - in fact I sometimes go in just to get parmesan or stilton from there. Better than any of the other supermarket stuff I've tried. Tesco is especially disappointing.

This Tesco stuff tastes nice but then I'm not a seasoned cheese veteren. I might give Aldi a go next time, it's slightly more upmarket than Lidl I suppose.

I buy cheap Parmesan copies from Lidl along with my cold meets and other cheeses. I struggle to tell the difference between the 99p for a pack stuff and the £4 per 100g stuff.

Grana Padano is an alright cheaper alternative to parmesan but it's softer and doesn't match up on flavour.

Tesco Finest > Waitrose > M&S > Sainsburys for me.

The Tesco one is particularly lovely. Especially when it's only a few £/kg more than something like Waitrose's Essential.
