So i have a parrot Ck3100 which worked fine, and now it doesn't. When i try to make a call the music mutes as it should, but i hear no sound (phone ringing or person speaking), same when i receive a call, volume mutes but again, no sound from phone call. The parrot came with the car so i don't know much about them, or how they are fitted and i don't fancy ripping my dash to bits (although, i wouldn't mind re-routing the parrot interface into the sunglass holder on the roof so it's out the way). Any ideas or am i best taking it to a parrot specialist?

Thx, Wez

I've had 3 CK3100's in different cars - Never again!

Crap sound quality, sketchy bluetooth connectivity, random faults which necessitated a reset.

That said I bet the factory fit audi unit I have now isn't any better! (only had it a day)

The CK3100 will either be passing audio to a line/telephone input on the headunit or using it's own in-line amp.

If you place a call can the receiver hear you? i.e. is the Mic working?

There are 2 blue boxes in the boot where my amp etc are which are part of the parrot system, i noticed the other day, but all wires seem to connected. I'll have to get back re: whether the caller can hear me.

Is the volume on your handset for bluetooth turned up? I had a problem recently where I was turning the volume right up on the stereo for phone calls yet couldnt hear it, only then did i doscover my phone had a bluetooth call volume control too!

hi im just new to the forum, i have a parrot ck3100 in my car,it used to work fine but now i cant hear anything through the speakers, people can hear me talking so the mikes ok.i use iphone and have reset it and put the volumes up and if anyone calls me the radio mutes but no sound comes out.would appreciate any ideas as its driving me mad

Sorry to revive a golden oldie, but struggling to find any threads about this.
I installed a brand new Parrot MKi 9100 in my Discovery 2 (with original land rover stereo), and it works beautifully, except for a GOD AWFUL loud whine when the engine is running! It gets louder as the revs go up. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this, or if i need a noise filter? (if so, where would it go?) thanks very much

This is usually a grounding issue. Make sure that whatever the parrot is connected to is properly grounded. As a band aid depending on how the parrot connects to the source, you can put a ground loop isolator inbetween there and the parrot.

Thanks. Not sure I know what to do next, I have heard of isolators but not sure what to do with them.

The way parrot kits fit is in line behind the stereo. So the plugs are pulled out of the head unit, then plugged into parrot connectors and those plug into head unit. So the parrot kit sits between the car and the head unit. That's why I can't understand it as the stereo never had this interference issue and still doesn't, only the parrot does and only when that is generating the sound for the speakers. I can buy a ground loop isolator but where do I put it, on which line? The power to the parrot? thanks

Apparently I have a parrot ck3100 installed in my 2011 chevolet captiva I can connect to it but that's all and where its installed is a mystery as there is nothing visible no sign of the ck3100 anywhere
