Ive upgraded my system all except the gpu still on a nvidia980

gigabyte vision g mobo with latest bios
intel i7 10700k
patriot 4400 16gb

I ran 3dmark timespy just to see if it made any difference so far with the same gpu
and the cpu score is registering 0 ???

i reinstalled 3dmark and ran it again and again it runs the test fine but cpu score is always 0

I am running the mobo without the 4pin atxpin as i dont have one  would this cause the issue.
Not overclocking the cpu

thanks

That'll likely be a bug in the software, if it was truly 0, the system wouldn't run.
Make sure it's as up to date as possible and if it persists, install freshest of fresh (nuke it from orbit).

That extra 4 pin is supplementary and not required for normal operation, however, the 10700k can draw a great deal of power, so much sure you're not hitting a power limit.

modular psu that i have mislaid the cable as previous mb didnt need it.

its the freshest install possible on a brand new hard drive, only installed windows and up to date drivers from internet.

A zero score is usually because the system is unstable. It happens when you overclock to high. But in your case the CPU isn't getting enough power, causing it to be unstable. Get a good branded PSU asap
