Hi there,

I just bought an asus striker II extreme, and got it a bit cheaper, (meaning its 'b' grade from ocUK.)

I have managed to source the i/o shield and various other bits and bobs
but I wondered if asus part number 14G000100925 is a generic part that I can just buy to fit this board from anywhere or if its a special type (silly I know haha)

Anyhow just thought I'd ask that part number is the right angled sata cable according to asus estore (which only supports the usa and canada for some reason)

No, I'm pretty sure they're not non-standard. That particular part consists of one standard SATA cable, one right angled SATA cable and one molex to 2x SATA power cable. All these items can be obtained separately, very readily and very cheaply!

Thats what I thought, I got the i/o shield, digital post reader and the power cable adapter really easily off of ebay.

Why on earth Asus no longer have a store in the uk that will sell this stuff (just like they do in the usa) I have no idea, lack of demand i suppose.

if anyone else thinks this is non standard or knows of anything I should watch out for let me know :) ta
