Part Exchange confusion

Hey all,

When you want to part exchange a car does it have to be in your name or is it at the dealers discretion?

Looking to get rid of my sisters car but some websites aren't clear about it and you will save me some phone calls

Providing your sister is there when you part exchange I see no reason why any dealer would refuse to part exchange.

I have been in your sisters position before and there was no issue.

Why not just put the car in your name? That's if your not in a rush

I'm looking at the end of the month at the very latest to get my new car so can't risk the 2-4 weeks wait from the dvla

I've rang one of the garages today and they've told me as long as shes there to sign the trade its fine so hopefully most follow suit
