Hello everyone, This is my second help with a build post. I got some great advice before and am looking to choose between specific parts to come up with a build.
Situation
My current PC is bottle necked and struggles to keep up with modern games. This PC will not be purchased all at once, I have a 1 year old but a good paying job, to keep my finances safe i'll be buying parts on the 15th of every month over the next three months and then putting it together.
- This PC will be built purchased over 3 months but built all at once.
- This PC is for gaming only, I'll use my old PC for any browsing, dvds and such.
- The PC needs to be up-gradable in the future fairly easily, I will be looking to add a High end graphics card next year to replace my 1060.
- Ideally I would like to overclock my CPU.
- I want to be able to do VR.
- I don't mind lowering my settings to much. I want to play games i've missed as well as newer games coming out.
- I do not plan to ever own more than 1 graphics card at a time so SLI or Crossfire is a no go.
- I dont need to worry about Windows, KB, Mouse and monitor just yet.
Parts I need help with
Motherboard
Ok so it's been a while since I've built PC's let alone one I want to use myself purely for games. I need the motherboard to be able to overclock my processor and host DDR4 RAM. Support a headset and at least 2 SSD's (one for windows 10 one for games). The motherboard will need to be able to host a graphics card next year for top of the line (I guess right now it's looking like a 1080ti by the time we get there).

From what I understand I dont really need an i7 for a gaming rig so hopefully this is a nice easy one.

Will everything along with a 1060 be able to fit in either of these two cases? and be able to host a newer graphics card next year (most likely either MSI, Gigabyte or EVGA are my go to brands).

And that's it so far. I have a 650W Gold rated power supply already. That should be ok I think? I don't really have a budget other than about £300 a month and i'd like it done by Christmas. I'd love some help picking between the parts and anywhere I could save money or get recommendations. Any other questions please ask. Sorry for the long post and thankyou!
