Anyone got one? Due to a domestic violence incident I've had to get one. Implants would have wiped me out financially.

Had the 4 front uppers taken out this afternoon.

Quite happy with the match, they look reasonably real. Had a little cry when he pulled them and felt the gums. Still made it to my 40s with 0 fillings or other extractions.

In absolute agony now. It's not the extractions it's the plate digging in at the back that's killing

Dentist told me to leave it 24 hours so going to go back tomorrow as I have no idea how to take it out. Feels like it's spring connected to all my other teeth.

I'm quite embarrassed but such is life.

Has anyone else got a similar denture? How does it effect your life? Can you eat ok? How long does it take to get used to having bit in your mouth?

I'm aware of the context, but your post made no reference to it. Still don't think it's a subject to joke about.

You're very clearly not aware of the context if you think I find this a matter worth joking about. I suggest you do a bit of digging on the OP before you continue down this rabbit hole as it'll give you a very different perspective.

Doesn't the gum have to heal before you can wear dentures?

Apparently not. But in 3 months I have to go back for more impressions when the gum had receeded and get a new final one made.

Probably if this was on the NHS you'd have to wait the 3 months then get the first and final set done

I was going to convey my experiences with a temporary denture and subsequent implant surgery of the exact same teeth, but if it is some kind of alt account then I'll probably not bother.

Drop me a pm with your guess :)
