Partial Upgrade, Check over please.

Ok I will be ordering my new parts on monday, just wanted to make sure im spending my money wisely. Here is what I have come up with.



  • I chose the Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R becuase a lot of people seem to be recommending it and it has a small cooling block on it so the tuniq tower should fit easily.

  • I chose the Antec 900 Case due to reading quite a few reviews about how good it is at cooling, so this will replace my thermaltake soprano current case. Ive heard good things about the antec p182 also though.

  • I chose the OCZ PC2 5400 2x2gig Memory mainly because of the price, but im not sure wether to go with 4x1gig Curcial Ballistix PC5300.

  • The reason for the E6850 rather than a quad is because I dont really use many apps, just games.

  • And finally the tuniq tower 120 seems to be a firm favourite so Ive gone with it, however the Noctua NH-U12F (Socket LGA775/754/939/940/AM2) Heatsink seems a strong contender.

So guys any opinions, glaring compatability probs, bad choices e.t.c let me know.

I will be overclocking this to whatever I can get out of it and will be using the remaining parts from my current setup (In sig)

EDIT* Yes will be running vista when the service pack is released.

Its not for win xp, so need 4gig, do not need pc8500 since the e6850 has a high multiplier and pc5300 wont limit the overclock.
 
Faster is indeed better and easier when overclocking, but as with everything its about money...

Im sure ill be fine spending a few seconds selecting a ram divider if the ram dosent like a big mhz increase :D
