Partial upgrade for BF3.

Currently running a Q8300 at 3.4ghz and CF 5770s. I play at 1920x1200.

I was hoping to do a full upgrade (2500k, 580) this month but think I'm going to delay it until next year. So I'm just looking to upgrade the GPU, possibly to a 570.

- How much faster is a 570 going to be compared to two 5770s at my res?

- Will my Q8300 at 3.4ghz make the upgrade redundant?

- What's BF3's CPU usage like compared to BC2 (which maxed out all four cores)?

Annoyingly Anandtech doesn't have benches for 5770 CF.

3) Not sure but I'd expect the same result, still graphically limited though

Two 5770s seem to be on par with 5870s, having just looked at some benchmarks now.

If you consider that and use that in Anandtech,

It seems te GTX 570 would give you a boost, not sure how significant/noticeable that boost would be.
Though, as they say, at some point you can always add another

From what I have read BF3 isn't as hungry on the processor when compared to BC2.

Good to hear. Does anyone reading this run the beta on a Core 2 generation quad around 3.4ghz have some first hand feedback on performance?
