Partial upgrade suggestions

I love christmas, time for upgrades!
I want a dx10 pc with top spec components in it, im saving that for a few months untill quad cpus are out.

My spec:
amd 3000 skt939 with h/f freezer 64 o/c to 1.98ghz (had it on 2.34ghz with my OCZ 1gb dc ram)
2gb(2x1024) ram dual chan
x850xt pe (pci-e)
900gb hd space (about 300mb free) 74gb raptor 3 other sata drives and an ide drive
dvd writer etc
audigy 2
520 watt ocz powerstream
dfi sli-d motherboard

I play world of warcraft mainly atm
i get 20-60 fps outside and 10-25 fps in endgame dungeons at 1280x1024 2xaa 4xaf on a 19inch tft. Im not quite sure which part is holding my pc back, the cpu or the graphics card?

I have about 200-300£ to spend but i definately need to get a new hd probably the seagate 320gb sata 16mb cache for £67.
Now as im going to definately upgrade to a better spec with a conroe system in a few months i want to get a top of the range graphics card and cpu then with DDR2 ram.

At the moment im leaning towards a faster proceossor simply because if i buy a better graphics card im not sure my cpu would keep up.

hmm tough call to say wich is holding you back the most. your cpu is the oldest tech. but also there are a lot faster gfx out now aswell.

im probbaly just bein thick but what are you after now ?? a full new system or one thing to upgrade untill you get a full new system ???

Just an upgrade untill Q2 2007 price drops, i want it to last for that

So if need be i can spend a little extra on card and a cpu.
I'm wanting to spend as little as possible though but i want to have constant framrates of 30-40fps in wow dungeons with my current settings with possibly higher AF, AA.

well you can get a his x1950pro 256 on special at £130 and a socket 939 3700 san diego oem for about 70. so thats makes about 200 in total and should give youa nice lil boost

That is nice, i think id get the Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (AGP) - Retail. of the card as its only £20 extra!

But that card is agp, and you have PCIE?

Anyways, I personally would NOT buy another CPU, unless you have overclocked your old one and still having problems.

The default speed for a venice 3000 (assuming you have a venice) is 1.8GHZ, mine is running at 2.7GHZ pretty easily, just by adding a divider to the RAM, and increasing the FSB (or HTT as it is called by AMD).

Most certainly though the 1950 is a great deal, though I say get 256MB of ram if you are only playing at 1280x1024. Anymore ram than that is wasted at that resolution TBH. Besides why not save that 30 odd pounds, and put it towards a DX10 card in several months

*EDIT*

I see you have overclocked your CPU, is that clock the max it will go? or dont you like adding a divider to the RAM for some reason?

Ah i didnt see the AGP bit

The highest i managed to get the cpu to on air is 2.34ghz with my old OCZ 4200 1gb kit, i wanted to upgrade to 2gb ram but my board just wouldnt work with my gskill 2gb kit and the ocz kit so i had to sell it. I did the overclocking a while ago and since playing wow my brain has turned to mush so i dont remember exactly what i did ^^.
