Good evening all.
I'd like some suggestions on how I can improve my current system, Ideally I'd like to keep my motherboard and CPU, mainly because I can't be arsed with a whole strip out and rebuild.
What I have
FX-8350 BE @ 4.7Ghz 1.46 Voltage /ASUS M5A97-PRO /MSi GTX 670 PE / 650Ti (doing nothing)
16GB Kingston HyperX 4x4GB/ 240GB Sandisk SSD /2 x 750 GB Seagate HDD's / Corsair TX850 / NZXT H630 (with all available fans installed via a fan controller)
I've already talked myself into a R9 290X 8GB to replace the 670 but will I get away with a pair on my system?, will the Corsair TX850 PSU cope?, Would it even be worth it? as it will only be on PCi-e 2.0 and 8x 8x
What RAM would be best to gain those extra gains in my overall CPU clock? It would have to be 2x8GB though as I'm already gimping myself running 4x4GB currently.
I'll be removing the two old mechanical HDD's and replacing it with a 500Gb ish SSD but again which one?
Been out the loop too long
, thanks in advance.
