When I installed vista I just used all my hard drive space as one partition and stuck everything on that. Now the RC of windows 7 is out I would like to give it a try without getting rid of my vista setup. Can i add a partition with my free space and install windows 7 or will i have to reformat my hard drive and wipe everything.

Here's what you need to do
-Go into your control pannel
-Go in Administrative tools
-Computer Managment
-On the left press Disk Management
-Right Click you hard drive and shrink it
-Then with the space left over make a new partition
Or down Acronis Disk Director =)
