Partition no longer accessible

I have started using an external HDD dock and on one of my drives there are two partitions, the first (30GB) is fine, however, the other which is the rest of the 500GB drive is no longer accessible and when I check it under windows is says: 426.7 GB RAW.

How can I get access to this partition?

Sounds like the partition information has become corrupted, had a search and found

which may be able to fix your problem, (haven't used this software so no idea if it works) but it claims to support all Microsoft operating systems and as you don't really have anything to loose, got to be worth a try rather than just reformat the partition.

I'm sure there are other util's around that can perform similar tasks , this was just the first I landed on.
