Gonna format in the next couple of days, but this time i'm going to make a seperate partition exclusively for the OS (i know, i should have done it before).

What would be a safe size for this partition?

I just looked at my Windows folder, it's 2Gb, i assume i'd have to take the Document and Settings folder into account too, this is 31 Gb !!

Thing is, i have all my music in My Documents/My Music.
Would i be able to move the My Documents foder to a different partition once XP is installed?
Will take a look at nLite.

I have now formatted, I set the C drive at 10Gigs and have installed MCE without any problems.

One question though, do i still install programs such as antivirus, firewall, winrar, firefox to the C drive or do I now place them on the newly created E drive ?

Is it OK to "contaminate" the C drive with these important apps ?

I think 10Gb seems to be the optimum/most popular size for the OS partition, just to be on the safe side.
