I got a new HDD today and after installing it the only way of getting it to show was to put the XP disk in and partition it. The only problem is it is showing as 127 GB (instead of 250GB). My old disk is also missing about 30 GB (160GB), this issue I had before. I assume its something to do with the HDD size problem (although I thought that was 137GB) problem of the original XP (disk I am using is before SP1).

Is there any program I can use to remedy this problem in Vista? I downloaded a trial version of Partition magic but it has compatability issues.

Thats what I did eventually, I slipstreamed SP2 into the disk using nlite and when formatting in setup it showed the right space. :)
