I've been reading the advice given to others on this forum over the last few days and have decided to go with this lot...

Delivery date: Monday 8th October 2012

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £136.66

MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards w/ Nexuiz & Sleeping Dogs PC Games £129.99

Samsung 256GB SSD 830 Series SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive - (MZ-7PC256B/WW) £124.99

MSI Z77MA-G45 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro-ATX Motherboard £76.66

GeIL Black Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (GD38GB1600C11DC) £19.99

Total inc Vat: £597.35

---------------

I have a 500 watt Seasonic PSU which I think should do me ok.

Current Antec 300 case, I'd like to change to a micro ATX case,
once I find one I like.

CPU cooler is a Scythe Shuriken Rev.B Quiet Low Profile CPU Cooler.
I like it because its super quiet and easy to clean. You don't have to be a contortionist to get a brush in-between the fins. If I clocked the CPU,
it would only be a very conservative clock.

Upgrading from a DFI Lanparty / AMD 64 4000+ / Nvidia GT 7800

Thanks to everyone who recommends build specs on this forum.
Keep up the good work :)

I prefer the night shift, better pay for unsociable hours lol

What was the OPs budget for a mATX case? Something like THIS is nice.

He never had a spec thread. Put the build together from reading various threads, by the sound of it.
So your guess is as good as mind, regarding the case budget.

Thanks for the case suggestion. I had looked at Fractals Arc Mini already, but not the Define Mini. You know something I find a bit strange? My Antec is great but at 470 deep, it sits to one side, on my desk and blocks out too much light. I can't understand then, how a Micro ATX case is actually deeper then my Antec. The Define Mini is 490 deep and the Arc Mini is 484.

Also I'm after something which has an equally great filter system as the Antec, which has simply one big ass filter on it, and is so easy to pop it off for a clean.

You know what my ideal case would be? A shrunken version of the Antec 300 :p

Hmm, PCI sound card in a motherboard with no PCI slots might be a problem.

First thing I said to you was get a PCI-E sound card - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=22889780&postcount=2

I thought i got the asus xonar DGX PCI express sound card, i rushed checkout way too much......

Did you get the "goods dispatched" email yet?

If not you could try and make a thread in the customer service section and hopefully catch them early.

Or you DSR the item back to them (paying postage) and order the right thing.
