Trying to organise an outdoor party for next month at uni. I would like to have it just out side my block on a big patch of square grass. AFAIK, my uni will give the go ahead pending their approval of the risk assessment form. Just wanted to run it by anyone who knows this sort of thing before i hand it in.

Here are pictures of the area - some of potential hazards:

Risk Assessment (bare in mind i have never done one):

We prob won't have a DJ anymore , instead use our sound systems from our rooms (did it a couple of years ago for a BBQ). As for the wonky paving, i though if we cordended off the grass patch so the paving will be outside (been here 5 years and the uni still hasnt sorted it out!). Also, obvousily, not allowed to sell alcohol without a license? I heard that if i sold biscuits or vouchers and gave the alcohol along with it, this true? Any help greatly appreciated :)

Chuck me an email and I'll have a lookse for you.

Details in the trust

Might want to mention the use of excessive noise levels. Even if you don't know them, it's worth saying that the current controls will include a limiter of some sorts, and that you will do your utmost to stay within safe limits (<85dB) unless you intend on handing out ear protection haha.

Dont know much but the noise level is a huge thing, normally you get told to have a volume/noise controller which automatically changes to the rite volume. im sure the people who know can tell you more though.
