Hi everyone. We have been very lucky in getting a chance to work on further projects for MSI. This time in a larger ATX sized Parvum case. Giving us a chance to explore the larger form factor first hand while showing off some awesome MSI hardware.

This build is possible with the support of MSI, Hyper X and XSPC.

Case - Custom Parvum ATX
CPU - Intel Unknown
Motherboard - MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition Intel Z97
Memory - Hyper X Unknown
GPU - MSI GTX 960 2GD5T OC
SSD - Hyper X 3K
PSU - Silverstone Strider 1500W

First we will take a look at the core components for the build. Naturally these will form the theme on which we build around, complementing the harsh aesthetic contrasts of MSI's hardware.

Not giving too much away here but stay tuned and all will be revealed.

Sweet! If you make an ATX case, I'm buying!

Subbed!

Niiiiice, looking forward to this gents!

Now that looks neat & sweet...! luv the BW photo's

Parvum build - subbed!

This is going to be good!

Thanks for all the support guys. We are 100% making an ATX case. The order has been placed by OCUK and is just around the corner. This is in fact a smaller version of the ATX case, the retail will have a rad box/chamber in the lower section of the case but this gives you a nice idea of Parvum on a larger scale.

We've had a lot of interest in the strong aesthetic the triple front & double top provides so this will be sold as an add-on kit.

Lets take a look at all of the water cooling components we shall be using in PARVUM KRAIT. With literally several black nickel fittings from XSPC and EKWB to hand building a clean and distinctive loop should not be a problem.

What else but gloriously white XSPC AX radiators to bring the harsh KRAIT contrast through into the rest of the case.

With such an expansive radiator area it would probably run quite happily with no fans, but just in case we found 6 or 10 Noiseblocker NB-eLoop's

That just leaves blocks for the memory and CPU, XSPC's raystorm blocks complimented the motherboard well while not over-powering the standard heatsinks and detailing. The graphics cards won't be including in the loop as we wished to retain their KRAIT branding.

No Parvum would be complete without a little bit of HyperX, somehow looking even better in black and white we have 3K SSD.

The moment you've all been waiting for, a relatively gigantic Parvum of the ATX form with plenty of room to accommodate all of the watercooling gear.

Thanks for all of your positive comments about the case and the project, we can't wait to bring you even more.

With all of the parts selected and neatly positioned in the case it was time to plan out the loop and prepare to unite the components with coolant. At this point the pump and reservoir were propped up and we experimented with placement of fittings to carry off the distinctive Parvum rigid acrylic style.

It's not just as simple as smashing in loads of rotaries, much consideration was given to symmetry and balance.

Next time we will be tubing the loop, mounting the reservoir and hopefully getting on to some leak testing. Plus there are a few loose ends to be wrapped up in the back of the case.

PS. Whoever can spot the huge oversight (which was totally done on purpose) will earn a teaser for your forum.

Of course we haz PSU, no less than 1500W of Strider!

Do you have grills cut out on the base plate? I could not tell from the photo's. I assume the air flow is pulled into the case from the front and you are dumping the air out the bottom? Is the tube at the the bottom of the res for draining?
You have a lot of RADS just for the CPU and memory. You going to add the GPU's in at some point?

Yes we do! That's always one to forget when making the first set of inverted drawings for a case. It probably won't get used with a window panel in place so the air is free to go as it pleases, plus with 10 fans on just the CPU and memory they will hardly need to spin. The rads are rather overkill but it fills the space out and keeps things aesthetically well balanced. These GPU's won't be added to the loop so we can retain as much of the KRAIT branding as possible.

stunning build

Very classy. I like it :D

Thank you!

Amazing, love the build. So when can we expect stock and pricing on parvumati? :)

They will be available in the UK from right here on OCUK and worldwide directly from Parvum very soon!

Also will you be doing alternative colours?
140mm rad models possible?

We will definitely be able to offer a wide range of colours through our website as with all of our cases, the more popular options being stocked at OCUK. At the current time we intend to design and scale our cases primarily around 120mm fans, primarily because of the diversity of fans and radiators available. As modders and watercoolers ourselves we can appreciate the 140mm form is slowly growing in popularity, as the demand increases it is something that we will consider.

Really interesting case. I hope you will be showing some of your cases at i55, maybe this one? What is the effect of not having the pump and res next to each other in the loop as you seem to have done here?

Definitely, we will be taking a wide range of builds small and large including this one, certainly MATE and SENESCENTIS too.

Separating the pump and reservoir in itself doesn't present any serious problems, the critical points are that the pump should never run dry (pump air). Both during use and when filling the loop, the pump is lubricated and cooled by the liquid. Generally the point of including a reservoir is to make the loop easy to fill, easy to top up and bleed out any air that may get trapped along the way.

While planning the loop, lining up all of the fittings so that it would be aesthetically pleasing and distinctive we may have over looked the order of the loop. As such the coolant flows from the: pump > memory > cpu > reservoir > rad > rad > pump. And that made a couple of things kinda difficult, the pump picks up coolant from beneath it and the resevoir flows upwards. Without any internal pipes that means that the reservoir must be completely full at all times, defeating it's purpose of trapping air.

Filling it was a long battle using extra pipes connected to the res and the pump but despite how hard we made it for ourselves the effect is amazing.

the atx tower case is so lovely now will the be an fall e atx case ? :D

The initial retail ATX case won't be identical to the one used for this project. Not all E-ATX boards are the same size but we will ensure that the retail version can neatly accommodate a wide range including all of the enthusiast X99 boards.

Looks brilliant that does! Some nice pics

Thank you!

Such a tease! Well, I'm putting my new case purchase on hold until you release full details, so job well done ;)

Keep the pics coming!

We certainly will. The retail ATX case should be finalized extremely soon, if we can make it through the heat!

Well perhaps trying to spot our oversight was a little too hard on everyone, after all we didn't notice it for several days! The pump is positioned kind of backwards in the loop such that the coolant flows from the bottom to the top of the reservoir. This made filling the loop very challenging, but, we managed it! just...

2.jpg

Having the coolant flow backwards actually makes for an awesome effect in the reservoir with the Aurora quickly rising from the depths and undulating out of the top.

There are still a few little details to work through before it's ready for final pics but it's great to have one build almost ready for insomnia!

The time has come for final pictures of PARVUM KRAIT, although it has been completed for some time the Parvum team has been very busy with the L1.0 launch and the many other projects and commitments we each have going on. So before it's forgotten and the hectic preparation for another insomnia has passed we thought it appropriate to share some final photographs!

We look forward to hear what you guys think about the build itself and the case, it's something that we intend to make available in the future as a much more compact alternative to the L1.0. Probably in both inverted just like this one and un-inverted too. See you all again soon and thanks for looking.
