I'm getting some cables braided and instead of buying a pre-braided extension, I'm getting a cheap 24pin extension. In order to work out how much braid needs to be ordered, can you measure the distance from the motherboards 24pin to behind the motherboard tray?

I'm guessing 15cm, but without the case it's only a guess, and possibly wrong. I'd be looking to tape the end of the 24pin on the back of the motherboard tray, so please take this into account.

Length in cm will be fine, thanks :)

Also, what length SATA cables are you using from the motherboard to the HDD holder in the back of the case? 30/45/90cm?

I'm just using the SATA cables that came with my motherboard. 45cm, I'd say, although you'd probably be fine with 30cm. It doesn't have too far to go.

Apparently I don't have a ruler anywhere in my house, so I can't help with the first question. 15cm sounds about right, though. The Bitfenix extension I'm using is 30cm and around half of it is visible.

Thanks for that.

I'm getting a custom made 24pin and the cables from my PSU (2xPCIe & 8pin EPS) braided along with the sata cables, but I don't want to spend all the money to find they don't fit.

My idea was to stick my 2 SSDs on the motherboard tray (use 15cm SATA cables), on the left if you look at the side, and then mount the HDD in the holder using a 30cm cable.

HAHA, Yeah, no ruler sounds about right....lol
