Hi everyone! Once again we are here to bring you another cheeky Parvum project before Insomnia, don't worry though all the others are still progressing nicely. This build is for one of our friends Sheedy. A lightly modified VEER1.0 will be used to house this powerful yet compact LAN rig with overkill water cooling kit. The colour scheme will be a neutral white and frosted finish with grey and black accents.

Case | Custom Parvum VEER1.0
CPU | Intel i7-4770k
Motherboard | ASUS Maximus VII Impact
RAM | Corsair Vengeance 1600C9 2x4GB
GPU | ASUS GTX780
SSD | Kingston 240GB M.2
PSU | Silverstone Strider Gold ST65F-G

Fans | Parvum F1.0
Radiators | XSPC AX
Blocks | EKWB Nickel/Plexi
Fittings | EKWB 10/12 HDC Nickel
Rotaries | EKWB CSQ Nickel
Pumps | EKWB DDC + EKWB Heatsink

Thanks to our sponsors ASUS, EKWB and Silverstone, as well as fellow modders B_NEGATIVE and JR23 who have been helping out to keep everything moving along.

Straight in with some custom work from B_NEGATIVE on the Silverstone PSU, painting and branding the PSU to fit the theme and of course adding a Parvum F1.0 on reassembly. As both sides of the build will be on show it was important that the PSU remained aesthetically in-keeping, thanks to B_NEG it certainly is.

Just a few of the many fittings and radiators we managed to squeeze into the VEER1.0.

All the directions were roughly planned out by placing the components in a standard case. The finished article will now be built up around them so all the ports and components are placed exactly where they need to be.

What else but the mighty Impact kitted out with an M.2 SSD and much EKWB goodness.

Much more to come on this one, including some custom Parvum watercooling parts and many many fittings to make up for the sparse use of them so far. ;)

Things are moving along nicely with Parvum Sheedy after a few difficulties with acrylic and o-ring tolerances, it's now looking promising for the custom reservoir and pass through plates. Especially as we now have some 2mm o-ring cord that is actually bigger than 1.7mm :D

This plate will form the floor of the case linking the front and back parts of the loop, lighting the build and mounting the two DDC's.

In addition to the floor pass-through we have also fabricated a custom reservoir roof panel for the VEER flanking the top radiator with coolant.

Much more testing and fitting to come over the next week or two. Sorry this update was a little short on words, things are getting seriously busy as most of the projects are drawing toward an end. Feel free to ask questions about the build and i'll do my best to get back to you all.

I am blown away by how great this looks. You continue to take retail case design to new levels. The idea of integrating the res into the fabric of the case is inspired. Are these going to offered for sale for those interested in doing the same?

Thanks for the kind words. We've always wanted to offer a built in res type system for at least one if not all of our cases. The problem is the work SO well based on the specific hardware we build them around. Making something a little more universal would be the hard part.
That said however we are also very good friends with W/C companies at Parvum so even collaborating to have something more mass produced specifically for a Parvum with all the proper testing they can offer is a route we do want to head down.

Justin, the banner background better be what I think it is

Haha actually no. We did think about it but the sheer complexity of the loop meant it wasn't going to happen.

I think you will be the first to show this off ;D

JR,

I have a new found appreciation as to what's going on in the background now, once again thanks for taking the time to reply, I hadn't considered that facing the frosted block would ruin the appearance, so I now understand why you have a variance in tolerance across the surface.

Looking forward to seeing the next update. :)

Latest update..

The 2.4mm cord leaked over night. Was solid for 6 hours at work but small leaks over night. In from what I can tell two points.

The first 2mm cord actually came in at 1.7-1.8mm which is why we moved to the next size up at the local store. The new 2mm seems more true to 2mm so I will try this next.

We have also recut the lids to 2.2mm C/S rather than 2.65mm to get a little more strength when tightening down.
We think the 2.4mm may have been too high out of the channel and both put stress on the lid and possibly left areas damaged.
I think when you press really hard on a bigger o ring it leaves the area in between screws too high. Maybe...

We will report back. We are leaving the oil black coolant tests on JR's desk so if it does leak he gets the messy desk :D

Today we will be taking a look at the progress on PARVUM SHEEDY, lots has been done on the assembly and loop front, plus all of the custom cables i've been working on. There have been a few set backs along the way with O-ring tolerances but after some testing of the custom parts in isolation they are now looking solid.

Straight in with a cheeky radiator stack perfectly flanking an EK DDC.

...and another EK DDC for good measure.

Everything in this case is a mm perfect fit. The elaborate snake of rotaries are used to get the tubing around the end of the GPU and keep it perpendicular to the midwall.

With most of the front taken care of it was time to address the tubing in the rear. This connects the inner front radiator and completes the loop by returning the top radiator back to the reservoir.

While the loop was coming together all of the cables were simultaneously fitted and positioned.

E_5IAR0coCTA5UvVZixGcRgKabgsrFDSqBtOvCWNX8T8=w900

All that left was the top radiator and the reservoir which came in as one sub assembly united to the loop by 2 vertical tubes to each pump.

With everything fitted, cabled and tubed together that concludes our progress so far. All that remains is to connect the embedded LED strip to a peripheral connector of the PSU, fit the M.2 SSD and fill the loop!

But not just yet ;)

Man that looks epic, so clean!

Thank you Brian!

Lovely build but please try and take some straight pictures.

Due to it being small updates and really just trying to get nice cool close ups of the shiny bits; non-straight photos look best. This is by all accounts a very artistic and pretty wild in style PC build so the photo style was done to suit that. After all I did use 3 fittings just to send a tube somewhere I didn't even need to go, but that was the look I wanted.

That said when we finish and do final photos we will of course include more 'stock case' photos. So you can gauge how the system looks as far as scale and take a look at the loop (if anyone will ever understand the loop).

I have started to run out of words to express how great your builds look!

Thanks sir, means a lot.

The tubing wow !
Its like a glass spider trying to escape from a Parvum case (love it)

That's probably the closest and most accurate description to my loop style you can get.

What colour for the water? Please put something bright in there, would offset the all-white build quite nicely.

I did think about going bright with this but this is actually for a friend and he made the coolant colour request as part of his initial brief. See next quote.

Awesome build (and I even like the artistic angled photo's! lol)

Think you gotta stay monochromatic with fluids? a mid-grey to match them lovely custom cables maybe?

Glad you like the photos. They are taken in a style to match the build style. As you can see my loops are usually either love or hate. If you want to make the cleanest most simple route to each part then this is not it. I like to experiment with flow and make loops do really nice things. Nice to my eyes anyway.

We've gone with black. As per original request from Sheedy. We tried some other tones, dark greys etc but the black gave a super strong and harsh contrast against the chrome fittings and worked really well with the under lighting.

Picking up directly from the last update the Mayhems oil black coolant is going in.

sTsQ1UfBTYOxDJNimA27OjIdL_LL0kuX2ifaTuwNdSTK=w900

After a lot of weird turns and furious shaking the loop was very close to full, all of the fittings made a great seal so it was powered up for the first time and left to pump for several hours.

97jyDhft_srpmnOJlXJdd2ET0oWci0NTzhmu_8ou3TQW=w900

Initially there were some very pretty patterns in the condensation on the top of the reservoir, hopefully they will re-appear as the effect under the frosted was outstanding in person.

Xei9OMjofJX0zRXszPMxdEZ-OWMu-1eu4iV38qze_qXZ=w900

The choice to go with oil black coolant was immediately justified as soon as we turned the studio lights off, from here on in all of the pictures were taken with just the LED strip in the base of the rig powered on.

SHEEDY is ready for i55, even if the rest of us aren't!

Thanks for all of your comments and subs so far, final photos aren't far away now.

Using the case as a reservoir is an awesome idea. I'd pay some decent coins for something like that!

It's something we've always wanted to bring to retail. Somehow anyway, it's hard because these kind of things work really well when you use specific hardware. Hard to know what people will use at retail.

So amazing, it doesn't even look like a computer (if you know what I mean).

That was the option I was going for, more of an artistic movement using watercooling :D

magic. well done buddy.

yup, gorgeous build and great choice of coolant, looks stunning!

Thanks guys. Hopefully some will see it in person soon!

PARVUM SHEEDY found its way onto the ASUS ROG stand at i55 and they kindly lent us a G751 to take it's place in the LAN halls. Plenty more minds were lost over the weekend figuring out the loop order :D
