Emerging in the wake of a long list of showcase systems such as Project Magnus, Parvum Systems L1.0 is an elegant and unique presentation of what a watercooling case should provide the true enthusiast

Since early 2013, Overclockers UK has been privileged to be carrying the Parvum Systems line of cases. Parvum have redefined small form factor builds in the past two years by evolving and being open to new ideas and designs.

The ever popular S2.0 has developed over time from customer feedback and input. Over the past two years, every modding forum on the planet has gone crazy for these small acrylic boxes and for good reason. The success of the ITX 'X1.0' and the ITX Watercooling 'Veer' have spurred on more demand for a bigger Parvum case.

For 2016, Parvum have taken things to the next level and released the L1.0, a full E-ATX class chassis capable of holding huge amounts of cooling hardware and designed with ingenious layouts to allow end users to customise their watercooling hardware in ways not possible with other 'off the shelf' mass produced cases.

The guys at Parvum build cases how a hardware enthusiast would build a case, smart decisions are made and implemented rather than cutting corners to save costs and designs are improved and refined to offer every customer the best product on the market with a unique and personal touch. Each Parvum case is manufactured right here in the United Kingdom and are built in small batches to ensure exclusivity.

The L1.0 is built out of Parvum Systems signature 5mm high quality acrylic, the L1.0 has impressive scale but retains an enormous amount of structural rigidity. Layering techniques are utilised to give the sweeping lines and geometrical aesthetics of the case real functional purpose that stabilises the case and gives a sturdy foundation for heavy duty use.

Each case is individually cut using precise machining equipment. Each L1.0 is shipped flat packed with full assembly instructions.

Due to Parvum constantly upgrading and updating their designs, some small aesthetic changes may occur.

Most importantly, Parvum Systems takes great pride in the sourcing of their raw materials choosing a high quality, European sourced recycled acrylic. This ensures minimal waste in the production process as well as being kinder to the environment.

so there may be a little confusion, allow me to clear it up

since magnus was released. the end goal was pretty much always going to be this case.

there are a few variations and I think in coming months we may see a smaller ATX case that is a little more affordable and not 100% focussed on mental watercooling setups but this is where these prototypes are coming from. you will be seeing a lot of Parvum show systems and project logs in various smaller form factor ATX cases whilst this is refined.

the L1.0 remains unchanged though and is very much their flagship case.

this is their flagship product. plus, you have to remember that there is a crazy amount of wc hardware that you can put in this. find a comparible case and it will be similar money

and in my opinion, not look half as good.

They are a little bit more expensive than i thought they would be

I'm not sure why you would think that. They are just over double the price of an S2.0. with that you are getting over double the amount of watercooling room, over double the size, double the time to manufacture, double the materials used to build it, double the packaging materials cost etc etc.

Will these be same as the previous cases? as in build up yourself?

correct :)

Yeah, well lets face it, if they sent them prebuilt by the time they arrived at your house they would be flatpacked, so they might aswell leave them that way.

Having built our sample, I reckon they would do ok in transit in honesty. The one thing that would be the issue is finding packaging suitable for something of this size!!!

here is our L1.0 next to me for scale [I am 6ft tall]

so look at the case that this most resembles in terms of specification.

the Corsair 900D

this is a mass produced case that, lets be honest, costs corsair not a huge amount to produce. The 900D launched at £299.99. And guess what, the 100 units I got for launch day sold out within 3 hours of landing in our warehouse.

The price over time has fluctuated and come down to around 270 but to all intents and purposes, the L1.0s biggest rival is the 900D.

Take into consideration UK manufacturing and skilled worker wages compared to large scale chinese production line costs, shipping costs from the far east, warehousing, logistics etc. Not to mention the huge amount that a brand like Corsair spends on marketing.

Your £300 corsair case is actually a £150 case tops, probably less. This case is actually more representative of the cost to the end user as it comes straight from Parvums workshop in the UK to OcUK. The margins involved are smaller as its a UK based operation that isn't done in huge production runs and UK staff have to be paid UK rates.

When you consider all that sort of stuff, expecting a full size case from Parvum to be cheap is a little misguided if I am being honest.

On the off chance that a lottery win comes in can custom colours be ordered?

We have accent kits in too but no pictures so I can't put them live.

Let me know what combo you need and we can provide a custom accent kit.

Sure. We only have like one or two of each colour.if you hold on a bit we should have some black green cases due soon.
