Hi

I'm considering getting a Parvum case and wanted to ask a few questions:

1. How are they for building a silent build in terms of vibration and general noise. The 80mm fans at the back could be a problem.

2. How easy is the acrylic to clean, if I get a white case would it get filthy.

3. Do you see the cases having long term use in terms of the construction quality, for example will the screws damage the acrylic if you modify the build a few times and take it apart. What about moving them around, are they sturdy like a steel case?

Thanks :)

1. I've had no problems with vibration, but if you want silence you'll be relying on quiet components to do the job rather than the case. Get some quiet fans and a quiet GPU and you'll be fine. I don't currently have any 80mm fans installed, although I might get a couple now I have a non-reference 780 dumping hot air into the case.

2. You can get acrylic cleaner to...well, clean the acrylic. I've had my white Parvum for a couple of months now, though, and haven't needed to clean it apart from the odd dusting.

3. Yup; it's perfectly sturdy.

They are great cases. Pleasure to work with and heart-breakingly beautiful.

Cheers Fulax, anymore pics of your build? I'm debating suitable colour combinations, green, white and black would be nice.

Although I did email Parvum and the mAtx case 2.0 is apparently set for its debut in February. So I may wait and request a custom colour combination.

My PC and my camera are in different locations at the moment. I will be back with my camera tomorrow morning, so I'll see if I've got anything on there.

They should also be bringing an ATX case to market at some point, if that's of interest to you.

1) the case doesn't vibrate, so any noise is down to the hardware you buy. Buy decent hardware and it will be fine. I've never heard a parvum build...

2) the acrylic has got a nifty coating and unlike normal acrylic doesn't attract dust due to being anti static, I've got a white and blue case on my work bench atm, it's not needed a clean yet. If/when it does, I don't envisage a problem, they are resilient!

3) not really sure what you mean by this, they are like any other case really, they have a use as long as you have a use for them. Unlike metal, I guess you might crack a panel rather than dent one, but the parvum lads are always willing to help their customers so I'm sure they would help to sort something like that out for you!
