Pass Test=Get car when?

Hey guys,

Got my practical test coming up & sry if its been asked before, but if i pass (crosses fingers/touches wood) can I buy a car and go online to get insurance the same day?? (test at 9.30am)

I am assuming you have to wait for your full license to come back from dvla? Wont i need this to buy a car/get insured?
