:) I am one happy bunny!

2 minors, one for appropriate speed (did 30 in a 40 ) and another for driving over the hatchings on a merge (either that or go under the wheels of a truck)

Haven't got a bike, don't even have any kit, but thinking of either a Hornet or an SV650. Going to see how my car holds up in it's MOT and go from there.

I'm going to have a sleep now I think :)

Well done mate! I'm going to be taking my CBT and DAS all in one go, did you have any previous bike experience??

You're lucky, I got a major for doing 30mph in a 40mph during my driving test.

:( Unlucky, I think it was for a 30 in a 40. I never saw any signs but as I was doing 30 2 cars ahead of me started to pull away slowly. Thought I'd binned it then so I ensured I hooned it on the national stuff down the A38.

Congrats paddy :)

The sv650 was quite small when I sat on one. If you plan on doing long distances, then make sure you fit the bike properly. They do sound nice though :D

Hmm, I did my DAS on a new CBF500 and they still felt ok after 4 hours riding around.

I'm quite tall - just shy of 6'1" - and have longer than average arms. Mate of mine has an SV and says they're bigger than a Hornet so might suit me better. Ultimately I'm just going to have to sit on them and find out!

Well done! :D

When I was only 6ft I found my old Curvy shape SV uncomfortable and my hips and knees would ache after riding for less than an hour in some cases :/ but every person is different so just have a go and see, have ridden the new shape sv but not for any length of time so cant comment on the riding style though It didnt feel any different, just get out and try loads of bikes :)

congrats, any idea what bike your gona get ?
SV650 or a Hornet I guess, I quite like the look of the new GSX-650F, but I'm not going to find as many good 2nd hand deals with them and I think the cost of dropping on would be considerably more!

I'm going to keep an eye on Autotrader, Pistonheads etc, see what's around :)

I was just checking out the Theory Test for motorcycles as I'm planning on doing my DAS soon, what is with some of the questions these days, for example - Powered vehicles, such as wheelchairs or scooters, used by disabled people have a maximum speed of...

Whos cares how fast they can go I'll be going a lot faster :p

8mph :) The true hooligans of the road - with the exception of chavs on scooters in shorts and sandles.

Only question I got wrong on my theory was what to do when you get a sudden puncture - I said brake sharply, should be to roll to a stop :( Ho hum

Same here. Want to do it before the EU laws come in and ruin it. Had a passenger ride on a bike when I was a kid and enjoyed it. Havent ever riden one other than a peddle and pop when i was a nipper.
Seems to be quite a lot of places doing Newbie to DAS courses.

Edit: Where are my manners? Congrats on the pass. Safe biking :)
