Well if anyone remembers my first post in the bike thread it was all about my confidence being knocked on my CBT. I really did not enjoy it and almost didn't get my CBF 125 but I stuck with it.

Couple of weeks ago I decided to look into getting my full license and managed to get myself on a 3 day intensive course.

3 days learning mod1 and mod2 with the 4th day both tests.

Well I started on monday and by the end of the day I was tired and hating it, its mentally and physically tiring. Next day was getting better more confidence on the bike. 3rd day was cruising.

So test day was yesterday and if anyone saw the weather Wales was hit by gale force winds. Managed to do the mod1 but the instructor said he may stop it at any minute. Even with the wind passed with a clean sheet.

Came back for my test but the wind was worse so it was cancelled, the instructor managed to get me booked in today and @ 11:50 I passed with 5 minors :)

So looking at some nice big bikes now.

For anyone tempted on a intensive course I would warn you its very tough on the body and soul and only attempt it if you have some riding experiance.

That is a nice bike.

How much do they usually go for? I'd be dubious about buying a bike that's been ragged around by novice riders.

Yer was thinking that at first, but most newbies wouldn't ride it as hard as it could be when they are learning.

Most of that mileage will be at the speed limit, looking around they seem to go for the £2,500 mark.

Going to have a proper look at it tomorrow to see how it rides, My bike budget was £4,500 but thinking it would be better getting something to learn on for a year that I didn't pay to much for before getting something new

2 of the minors was for going slow in a 30 :)

I almost failed, left my indicator on going up a hill, noticed it in time so he only gave me a minor. So glad its done now. Just need to sell the CBF when I get a chance to clean it :)

Well Done!!!!;);)

Congratz on passing.

I'll second this as my first day was 7 hours solid in the rain with the instructor shouting in my ear, 2nd day was 5 hours in the rain, Well worth it when you pass though. :)
