Passenger side door not opening from outside?

Hi all,

Having numerous woes with my Audi TT mk2 at the moment and today my passenger side door started to play up. From outside it feels like there's no resistance at all when trying to open the door, whilst it opens inside just fine as always. I had the MOT done on it last week and my garage pointed out that the mechanism needed some wd40 as it was sticking. They did this and it was fine for a few days but now it's acting up again. Could it be there's just too much gunk on the inside of it and blast it with my wd40 or should I actually take it back to the garage for a proper inspection?

Other issues at the moment is the bonnet release handle snapped off in my hand so I've had to buy a new one for a DIY job and my spoilers motor is caked in so much organic crap it's not raising and lowering properly...

Oh the joys of being an Audi owner...

And do it sooner rather than later.

I ignored an intermittent door actuator in my MK1 Leon Cupra R, and in the end it meant that the passenger door completely failed, leaving me with no choice but to dremel off the door card in order to fix the door.

Ended up needing a door card, a latch, an actuator and a lot of sticking plasters. If I'd have addressed it when the problem began, it would have been an actuator only :(

This.

I had similar in my Audi S6, ended up costing me an absolute bloody fortune to put right as I didn't sort it until the door wouldn't open any more.

At least in the S6, the door lock design is dreadful and basically is designed to accumulate water, rust and then fail.

Noted, I'll get it looked at next week as I'm travelling north for Christmas and haven't got the time to do it today sadly!
