Passing or selling on Google play vouchers?

I got some Google play vouchers, I rather sell them or give them to family member for Christmas (not decided what yet)

So it came through as a email link but am I correct in saying when I enter the code to redeem it, it will go onto my gmail or whatever associated Google account and thus not able to 'move' it on?
