Passive GPU Cooling Bodging...

Anyone think a Zalman NB-47J would be capable of cooling an ATi x600 PCI-E, possibly with an 80mm Yate Loon direct at it ?

Should be fine with the yate, if you're buying something especially to cool it passively then the ZM-NBF47 might be a bit better.

You can get a coolermaster coolviva for just over £6, should run an x600 passively

Edit: This cooler -

Thats on a 6800 with the fan installed which is supposed to be quiet anyway.

Had a rethink, and gonna get myself an nvidia card i think... better for MCE in my experience

Swapped the stock whiner for an old stock copper hercules 9700 hsf i had lying around (vantec ?) which was better, but gravelly

so i unplugged the fan, whacked an 80mm yate loon next to it temporarily... quiet, but a bit precarious :eek:

Anywho.. itll do for now
