Hey guys,
I'm using a passively cooled 8400GS atm whilst my 2900XT is being rma'd and I'm finding it amazing how much the noise level from my pc has been reduced since the 2900XT’s absence
I still have 6x 120mm yate loon case fans and a 120mm enermax psu fan going all the time, but now all I seem to notice is the noise of my hard drives!
Its probably a silly question because I realise that the 2900XT is going to be running a lot hotter than the 8400GS, but are there any passive (apart for wc) cooling options available for the XT, or soon, the 4850/4870? Failing that, what about quieter alternatives to the standard cooling for the XT/4850/70?
I'm really starting to enjoy the quietness of my machine now
