Yes it's fugly, but imagine strapping a couple of delta fans to it, the overclocking potential could be very nice indeed.

fantastic for people with htpc's, or people like me who like a bit of bang but as long as its quiet

The card will have impressive power for a passive card, but that is one huge and ugly heatsink.

Yeah put a couple of 120mm fans on it and it'll run cooler than any other aftermarket coolers out there I bet.

This looks much better.

And so do most stock shrouds AMD/nVidia put on their GPUs.

Pretty much any GPU with a shroud has a lot more potential aesthetically, I think. Unless you're being super creative with head fin design like some fancy concept coolers made by Thermaltake, I think.

The bare heatsink does indeed a bit plain and geeky...but if PowerColour is willing to design/provide some fan mounts for people to mount fans of their preference, then it could be interesting.

Looks pretty huge that heatsink! 6850's are pretty efficient and don't throw out a load of heat so it should do the job with some case fan air blowing onto it
