I got really brave and overclocked my cpu to 3.5ghz (2.4ghz standard) and my Sparkle 8800GT to
632mhz (600mhz)
940mhz (900mhz)
This is all done passive.
I didnt have to volt my cpu either which is v strange as they normally need a bit more juice dont they?
My temps went up to 63c on the cpu (3dmark loaded cputest) thats the highest its been unless i Orthos it which is kinda an over the top test.
Antec 900 Gamers case fans all on medium.
So after all this over clocking i only really get 1000 extra from my non over clocked score.
Totally pointless to overclock past 3.2 i think.
Anyone else got a passive overclock to show off
:)
And if your interested the Sparkle idles at 46c and loaded with 3dmark or cod 4 hits 57c. A surprisingly great passive 8800gt if you ask me.
Silence is golden

Nice! I wish I had gone for a 120mm cooler on my CPU, this 92mm one is the noisiest part of my system in normal use (the 7800GT is louder when gaming, planning on a passively cooled card next). I'm curious, how's the Antec 900's fan noise levels in general? Despite my case being new, I'll need another one sooner or later if I'm going to overclock things, and the 900 seems to have plenty of airflow.

You can hear the 900 with fans on medium. But i would class it as a natural humm thats not awkward on the ears. Now im done overclocking i could easily put the fans on low i think. Just turn them up again in the summer. Will give that a go i recon.

Yeah, the low setting is what I'd hope to use them on. I have the 120mm TriCool fan from the Antec Sonata II, and while it's very silent at low, it gets noticeable at medium and very nasty at high.

Oh, and regarding the Sparkle. I've been looking at two options: either getting a Sparkle, or another 8800GT card and a passive cooler separately. The Sparkle would have the benefit of not losing warranty due to passive cooling, even though it'd be slightly more expensive (259 euros around here, a Jetway 8800GT + Arctic Cooling's Accelero S1 would be about 230 euros). But I'm not sure how much space it needs towards the CPU/Northbridge? I'm concerned it'd get blocked by my motherboard's NB cooler.
