Passive Speakers

I'm looking for some speakers to replace my weedy speakers that I'm using with a JVC amp with inbuilt phono stage and turntable.

Currently using a weedy 2.0 set I nicked off a cheap hifi.

They must be passive speakers as the RCA outputs don't work with the turntable (sorry I'm a bit of a novice with audio stuff).

Depends on budget but the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's are a popular shout.

I use a pair of Dali Zensor 1's and I'm very happy with the set-up. You might look at Q Acoustics speakers as well - they get a good press.

Just seen the Monitor Audio bronze bx2's on for £150 at richer sounds. Nice speakers for the price.

9.1s are always a good shout. Also acoustic energy neo 1s which I have. Great speakers and never seen a bad word about them.
