¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was wondering if I had my e4300 up to a 120.3 type rad, and nothing else apart from a pump in the loop, I could get away with no or very low RPM fans?

Should be easy, you can also get passive rads if your looking at going that way.

Most of the standard rads do need a little airflow over them, if its just the CPU your cooling it would be easy with say a XSPC rad and a few ultra low RPM fans. :)

Well the thing is, I've already got a 120.3 (thermochill I think) type rad which I'm planning on using, but thinking about it I'll mount the fans anyway, and I'll simply be able to hook them up if my temps get little high. :)

I have an overclocked and overvolted Q6600 on a 120.3 and I can turn my fans off when its just doing the normal day to day stuff and just turn them on if I want to play a game. Your cpu will take that easily.

Although its suprising how much the temps have gone up by today!

Just get a fan controller which enables you to supply 0v to the fans (not not all fan controllers do, most drop to 7v) or one which switches the fans off al together.

That way you can be passive most of the time and then on hot days in summer when playing games or prime95 for 8 hours you can switch the fans up. Best of both worlds and is what I do.
