Greetings all,
The fan on my dad's GPU has given up the ghost, and given that it's a 7300 GS it doesn't really seem worth attempting to fix it. We've tried compressed air to loosen it up and get it spinning again but I expect the thing's already damaged anyway. What passively cooled (IE no fan) GPU would people suggest? I ask for passively cooled as I don't want another fan failing in 5 years if we can help it. Or if perhaps passively cooled seems a bit OTT (the old one did probably last 5 years or so), should just reccomend he get the cheapest AMD/Nvidia GPU he can get?
He doesn't use his computer for anything graphically intensive other than driving Aero along with a 1920x1200 display and a second monitor (smaller resolution).
Thanks, Tom
