Looking at a new work PC and juggling options. I Want to go twin screen but its not graphically demanding, the second screen will only be showing pdf's or outlook. The machine does do some 3d work in the form of OneCNC but its running spec is pretty low.
My current pc graphics are passively cooled (Nvida Geforce 8400GS with a large aftermarket cooler on it, yes its old) it its been ultra reliable but running vista business since 2008 its starting to be a little unstable (OS, not hardware).
Dust is a problem here and I regularly airline the pc with clouds of the stuff coming out, dust kills tiny graphics card fans.
I'm wondering if I can go twin display, passive?

You can just plug a second screen in. I had an 8400GS - still have it somewhere - and it had VGA and DVI ports.

But if you buy a new PC, you'll likely get multiple displays supported on the motherboard - no GPU necessary.

I have just played with that setup Quartz, works as well as I need! Moving forward I need exactly the same kind of setup for the new one and Cinderz, that card looks perfect.

Ok, so its entirely feasible to have a duel screen passive solution, good news :)

Yes. They are good cards.

As stated, one of my clients has these sorts of cards installed in their desktops. What I do for a living lol. Glamorous IT Support xD
