Passmark CPU scores

Had a quick look tbh and couldn't see a thread with passmark scores. Interested only in CPU scores mainly to compare older overclocked CPU's to newer ones. Hopefully this may help people decide when to upgrade

The program is free for 30 days so plenty of time to run a few benchmarks. Just post your CPU score followed by CPU model/speed

Passmark is not a very good benchmark to use when deciding if you should upgrade.

I think it favours multi core CPU's. Would be interested to see how 6 core or 8core CPU's score.

Mine is a 6 core, this is why I am saying Passmark is not a good guide for an upgrade. In most everyday things 6 cores are no faster than quads.

it's most definitely stock. i submitted my result here....

that score is obviously an average of all their submissions. mine's a little higher and some must be a little lower.

besides, you can't overclock these things even if you wanted to???

I thought you could oc by up to 5% these locked CPU's with the right mobo. Might explain the variation in the results.

They should have different leagues depending on the number of cores.

well i didn't know that and i'm pretty sure my H61 mobo is not the right one.

it's actually more than adequate for my needs right now. my main priority is getting the funds for a new monitor. that thing in my sig isn't a joke.

13317 990X HT on 5GHz (200 X 25) RAM 2000Mhz @ 7,8,7,20 1T. (and beats a 3960x @5.0 )
