:o what tweaking is that??

Nice thing about the test is that it benchmarks each component of the system, so tweaking includes defragging hdd, oc the cpu, tighter memory timings, opetimised pagefile, graphics oc and of course lots of cooling. Just hit a sweetspot i guess.

sweet, nice one!

need to sort my case out for cooling, my 6300 is running a bit toasty at the moment, 50idle! take the side panel off and goes to 38 idle 47load! so adding a blow hole in the side panel i think :)

here it is:

Hey all

I got a question about this passmark program..

Well my problem is I don’t totally believe that this program is accurate when it comes to some of its tests and or that is favors win xp x64 over the 32bit version.

I’m going to show you a screen shot of my E6600 cpu and my friends E6400.

http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wtfqk6.jpg

Core2puo is my E6600 cpu at stock.. newstock is my friends new E6400 at stock.. i got my opteron in there and the last 2 bars are my E6600 cpu at 3710mhz.

Now from this score the E6400 beats my E6600 at stock speeds.. ok only on 2 or 3 but because its such a large difference on the 3 his cpu beats mine and beats my overclocked cpu?? there’s no way its better because my super pi times beat his by allot so I really don’t get it.

There was another time not to long ago when the OpterOwn! was my main cpu we benchmarked his 3500+ vs my OpterOwn! an all scores bar the HDD I won.. But the HDD score was so crazy over what it should be he beat the overall score of my pc even tho that was the only score he beat me on? tbh that is totally wrong :)

The only thing I can think of is win xp x64 or the program likes to be wrong?

Don’t flame me if you think I’m wrong I just cannot see why his cpu can beat my at stock speed? his mobo is an AB9 1 gig of value ram.

Can anyone shed light on this? I will install win x64 another time just been playing to much wow to be ready for this pvp patch ;)

How many people use this program really? this is the first post i've found anywhere about this program.

Cheers all :D

I will post my score another time but it was around 1100k.. i think hehe

As no one is defending this program im gonna asume I'm right and be sumg about it :D

I checked my friends rotation score vs some ive seen and there same cpus but got lower scores when they was overclocked to 3.2gigs, im sure its either a bug or favours win xp x64.

1007.0 without running the DVD tests purely because I can't be bothered to get a disk out.

That's the rig in the sig with XP 32 bit, with 6 IE Windows open, Perfmon watching my network bandwidth, Everquest 2 patching, MATLAB with a 0.7Gb image array open, couple of explorer windows, 2 PDF's, 1 copy of Excel, 1 of Word and Windows Media Player playing on the taskbar.
