Passport gone through wash!!!

chucked mine through the wash a few years ago, ended up getting a new one as a load of entry/exit stamps had run in the wash. It's something you only do once!

I've been using one that went through the wash for years but it's probably because it's not in that bad a condition.

They always have been :p

I paid £82 to renew mine some months ago using the POS's check and send feature.

My mum needed to renew hers on an emergency and paid well over £100 to get it done on a weekend in person at the Passport office in Liverpool....I had to do the driving :(

The problem is, the plastic on the photo page starts to peel away and that brings the integrity of the photo into question.

That's what happened to mine when I did the same last year. It was clear that it would never be acceptable so I had to stump up for a new one. I had to travel for work about ten days later so I couldn't risk posting the form in case the passport office rejected the photos or something stupid so I ended up driving through to the Passport office in Durham to get one. Cost me £90odd + the petrol from Newcastle to Durham :(

yes it still will work dont worry, if you have any problem with customs just tell them i said it was ok, they know me and will be cool with it

I assume you were using it as id, got drunk, and this happened.
I'd advise you after replacing your passport to get a more reliable form of id that isn't likely to get nicked (like mine did) and is waterproof. A provisional/ driving licencing does nicely, it makes sense :D
