Passport renewal

Quite impressed.. I did an online renewal Friday night and didn't send my old one back until Tuesday via RM special delivery. Apparently my new one is now in the post tomorrow (Thursday).

That's a pretty damn quick turnaround... Granted it's before the inevitable summer rush and was a straight forward renewal that only required a new photo but damn...

Only problem now is I have to buy a burgundy passport cover to hide my new racist brexit passport... The end of an era.

Holding onto my burgundy one until 2029 ! I basically renewed mine for 10 years the last month before Brexit lol

Did mine couple weeks ago, was replacing lost passport so a bit more of a faff. Got an email after a week to say they couldn't process as the name on the application was different to the name on the old passport, it wasn't it was exactly the same. Did a webchat and they couldn't see what the issue was so said they would flag it and it would get looked at in 2-3 days, 10 minutes later got an email to confirm it was all ok and off to printing, arrived 2 days later

Passport service is a massive, and almost unique in the public sector, success story over the past decade or so.

The woman in charge at the time is now head of the Welsh RFU I believe. They should make her a Dame, if they haven't already.
